Lebaran or Idul Fitri is the popular name for Eid al-Fitr in Indonesia and is one of the major national holiday in the country. It is common to greet people with “Selamat Idul Fitri” which means “Happy Eid”. We always enjoyed the festivities every year with our neighbors and friends around Jakarta. Families usually will have special Lebaran meal served all day! I remember eating Ketupat Lebaran all day during the visits to our neighbors and friends. Rickshaw Republic is bringing a taste of Lebaran meal to Chicago for a very limited time!
